Testing dropped for border crossing – extending hours

With the removal of the testing requirements for vaccinated Canadians returning to Canada, we will extend our hours for your convenience beginning on Monday, Apr 4th. Please visit the “Hours” section below for the latest times and look forward to seeing you soon.

Reminder: Please wait for our email before picking up

We are reminding everyone not to come down until you receive the package notification from Ship Happens and not to rely on your courier tracking. For example, the US Post Office in Sumas has been closed temporarily since the flood and as a result, we have to travel 30 miles to pick up from USPS so we are only picking up once or twice a week from USPS.
We are hoping the Post Office re-opens in the next month or two and then we will resume daily pickups from USPS.

Well, that was fun while it lasted! PCR tests returning Feb 1 – Closing Saturdays.

The Canadian federal government is rescinding the PCR test exemption for returning Canadians that has been in place since Nov22nd. Effective Jan 31 at 9:00 PM BC travellers to the US will be required to take a pre-entry Covid-19 test before arriving regardless of how long they were away. As a result of this, we will be closing on Saturdays again until the border crossings are less restrictive. Thanks again for your patience and stay safe everyone!

No PCR Tests required now for 24 hour trips.

Great News: As of Dec 22nd BC residents no longer require the recently re-instated PCR test to reenter Canada providing you meet the following conditions:

1) you are fully vaccinated
2) your trip is less than 24 hours
3) your trip is to access or acquire goods (no social visits/events/etc)

You do need to have your information correct in the ArriveCan app before you cross back into Canada.  As we have seen in the past 2 years things can change at any time we strongly encourage you to pick up your package(s) as soon as possible.

Freight Dock refers to any packages (inbound or outbound) requiring the forklift to load or unload.  (i.e. pallets, oversized packages, etc.)

We will send you a confirmation with your unique Customer Number. (usually within 24 hours)

This will be your required, unique Shipping Identifier for all packages.

When your package arrives you will receive an email notification when your parcels are ready to be picked up.

How to use our services…

It’s Easy!
Once you are REGISTERED you will receive a unique customer number.
Simply use
YOUR CUSTOMER NUMBER-Your Name with OUR ADDRESS (as shown on the right) as your shipping address.

**Your Customer Number MUST be included in your name and appear on your shipment.
**Do NOT put “Ship Happens” on anywhere – this will result in your parcel being lost or sent back!

It’s that simple.

When providing your shipping address to your retailers include your customer number in your first name.

We will receive your package and we will notify you via email when your package is ready to be picked up.
You come in, present your customer number and pick your package up.

Register beforehand – There is no need to call us – just go ahead and start shipping after you receive your customer number (usually within 24 hours).

Also, note that we only receive and hold your packages for up to 60 days. We do not forward packages

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Ship Happens shall not be liable whatsoever to You for any Damage to Your Package, however caused, if Ship Happens is instructed by You to load, unload or in any way handle Your Package using specialized equipment or procedures.
Ship Happens is also not liable to You if Your Package or its contents are Damaged as a result of Your request that Ship Happens open a Package.
Ship Happens shall have no liability for loss of or Damage to Mail or a Package if the cause of such loss or Damage is outside the reasonable control of Ship Happens or due to flooding.
